Q.
Why are you now charging $199 instead of $99?
A. Because a couple of bands booked gigs and did not pay us
the 5% they owed us. We have to at least break even. We spend real
money on promotions, mailings, mini-CDs, Electronic Promo Packs,
etc. and can't do it for free. It actually saves the bands money
though, and we get enough to cover expenses up front without having
to follow up on bookings, payments, etc. any longer.
Q.
How did you determine that these bands are the best bands?
A. By listening to them and looking at their history. Their
sounds are as authentic as we've ever heard. There are many bands
playing the same music, but we strive to provide only the best bands
of their genre, but there may be 2 or 3 bands that play the same
artist. At this point, it's up to you to decide which one is right
for your event.
Q.
How much do the bands charge?
A. This
is determined by many factors. The distance and method of travel.
Does the band provide their own backline or does the venue? The
length of the gig. Does the venue
provide the sound system and lights?
Contact the band with
venue, date and other pertinent information for an accurate quote.
Q.
There were like
over 30 bands that played at Woodstock. How do you know which bands
are bookable?
A. We chose the tribute bands that are most in demand around
the country. Granted,
there were 32 musical acts at Woodstock,
but to be intellectually
honest, when was the last time you wanted to hear a tribute to Tim Hardin,
Bert Sommer, Quill or Melanie? Would that be your
"dream" Woodstock concert? How about Santana? The Who?
Jimi? Janis? Crosby, Stills and Nash? We also have some bands that
were from the Woodstock Generation and did not actually perform at
Woodstock.
Q.
What type of events are your bands available for?
A. You name the event and they are available for it. Mostly
due to the size and scope of the shows (even if only one band
performs) they are suited for concerts, festivals, fairs,
amphitheatres, conventions, large nightclubs, etc..
Q.
Can we just hire the "main person" of the band and provide
the backup group for them?
A. That is up to the individual band. Contact them and ask
them is they can make special arrangements.
Q.
Where are the bands located?
A. All across the United States.
Q.
Do I have to give a deposit?
A. That is up to each individual artist.
Q.
How far in advance should I book the band(s)?
A. If you want to lock in a band for a certain date or dates,
then booking them ASAP is the prudent thing to do. They are all
professional touring musicians and it's strictly first come, first
serve. Many are booked into the spring/summer of
2009 already.
